Lowe household drama...

update 5/15/08: Lowe farts LOUD on a cigar while his attorney seeks dismissal of some claims

Rob Lowe
wrote the following premature damage control and it was prominently placed on Arianna Huffington's Huff Post. That was strange enough. The guy has bad luck, makes some bad choices or both. This could be bigger than when he was abusing his elderly neighbors over a ficus hedge.

And this comes at a time when we've just learned the Santa Barbara News-Press* A2 columnist, Laura Schlessinger, has a Call to Action on her website for people to
"Insist Your Newspaper Carry a Disclaimer
on Dear Abby Columns"

DEAR ABBY!

Both Dear Abby and Schlessinger have columns in the News-Press. Schlessinger also got rid of Dr. Michael Seabaugh when he was a columnist at the News-Press.
I get the feeling Schlessinger doesn't like to share.

Household Betrayal
by Rob Lowe
April 7, 2008
Harassment in the workplace, sexual or otherwise, is something I take very seriously. In my home and on the set, I have been surrounded for years by hardworking women (and men) whom I respect and whose rights are to be protected. But when people make false claims of harassment particularly for financial gain, it must be defended vigorously and openly, for it weakens the claims of legitimate victims.

A former employee is demanding my wife Sheryl and I pay her $1.5 million by the end of the week or she will accuse us both of a vicious laundry list of false terribles. It is an attempt to damage and humiliate not only my wife and me, but our two young sons as well. My family is devastated at this betrayal; this woman worked in our home and traveled with us off and on for seven years, without complaint. In fact, she left other jobs to return to work for us three different times. Several weeks ago she quit abruptly, leaving us without a replacement. Within days we received these texts from her explaining her sudden departure:

"The conflict over ethics reached a tipping point in 2006, when McCaw named her boyfriend as co-publisher. They ordered and suppressed stories, and second-guessed those that ran. One dispute involved censorship of the paper's well-known editorial page editor's drunken-driving sentencing. Another involved publication of the address of a vacant lot where actor Rob Lowe was seeking a variance to build a 14,000-square-foot home."

Both Lowe and Schlessinger have dubious connections to the *Santa Barbara News-Press via Wendy McCaw. Both Lowe and Schlessinger are most famous in Santa Barbara as pioneers of raw celebrity porn. Lowe filmed himself having sex with a minor. Schlessinger asked radio's Bill Ballance to take amateur porn shots of her, or how to misuse a PhD and launch a radio career.

The stories get stranger because of the hideous behaviors of their mutual pal, Wendy McCaw. Both Lowe and Schlessinger support McCaw, and her stance on the kiddie porn. Basically, McCaw wrongly accused the man she was suing on the front page of the once prize winning News-Press, as if he downloaded the kiddie porn to computers that were McCaw's responsibility. Schlessinger did her hatchet job for McCaw.
That was about the same time Deryk Schlessinger was outed on a MySpace, KingOf*Hearts*.
The most disturbing cartoons of murderous kiddie porn.
Pentagon, why did you destroy the evidence?
That's another unsolved mystery now. As far as I know, Schessinger has not mentioned Deryk's photos. Her hatchet pals (Bill O'Reilly, et al) blame a reputable journalist, activist gays, feminists or bin Laden. Oh yes, always "liberals".

Catch up, see the "Citizen McCaw" documentary.
